Originally from a town close to Milan, Eleonora embarked on a journey into the realm of Biophysics during her Ph.D. studies in Göttingen. In the group of Prof. Sarah Koester, she delved deep into understanding protein aggregation dynamics. Under the mentorship of Dr. Giuseppe Vicidomini in Genova, she refined her microscopy skills, focusing on how proteins form condensates in cells, thanks to the support of Fondazione Compagnia San Paolo. She then became captivated by the fascinating world of in vivo systems and decided to use lasers and microscopes to investigate condensate dynamics in zebrafish embryos in the Vastenhouw lab.

Beyond research, Eleonora loves attempting watercolor painting, testing new cooking recipes, and exploring parks with her cats.
