Pauline was born in a small village in the South East of France and moved to Montpellier for her studies. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in biotechnologies before joining the Master of Epigenetics, Genetics and Cellular Biology in Montpellier. She worked for 6 months at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of Montpellier on late DNA replication during mitosis in human cells, in the lab of Dr. Etienne Schwob with Dr. Cyril Ribeyre. Interested in molecular biology and development, she wants to discover another animal model, the zebrafish model. She joins the Vastenhouw lab at UNIL for her Master’s thesis to work on transcription initiation in zebrafish embryos.

Outside of science, she likes animals and all the sports that we can do in the mountains, hiking, trail running and skiing.
