Awakening the Genome in Seville

Earlier this month, Eleonora, Nadine, and Dora attended the EMBO Workshop Awakening the Genome during Developmental Reprogramming in beautiful Seville. The meeting brought together researchers studying zygotic genome activation, chromatin regulation, and transcriptional control across a wide range of model systems.

Nadine gave a fantastic presentation of our lab’s work, which sparked many interesting conversations with colleagues in the field. Eleonora and Dora also presented their posters and had the opportunity to exchange ideas, receive feedback, and connect with researchers working on related questions.

Beyond the science, the meeting was a wonderful chance to reconnect with our colleagues and friends, and make new ones!

We especially enjoyed the warm Andalusian weather, visit to Real Alcázar, food, and the beautiful views along the Guadalquivir River.
