Fish users unite!

On November 5th, 2021, the 1st Lausanne Fish User Meeting took place at UNIL. The event brought together more than 70 people from 8 research groups on UNIL-Dorigny campus, UNIL-Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) site, Nestlé Institute of Health Science (NIHS), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). The meeting was a wonderful opportunity to hear about the latest research using zebrafish and killifish as a model, as well as the techniques and applications used by the different research groups in Lausanne.

The program featured Darren Gilmour (University of Zürich) as the keynote speaker, followed by a series of short talks from each research group. The meeting concluded with an apéro for networking and promoting scientific and technical discussions among the fish users.

Many thanks to the sponsors: bionomous, Planktovie, Viventis Microscopy, and the universities.

Thanks to Nadine and Guillaume Valentin (Fish facility manager of EPFL) for the organization and bringing all of us together! Kudos to our secretary, Nathalie Clerc, for contributing to this successful meeting! And to all the participants, thank you for coming and for the fun and fruitful discussions! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
