Zebrafish conquers the world!

Since we moved to Lausanne, we have been on a mission to spread the love for fish at every possible occasion. This has led to two beautiful preprints published recently.

In the first one, which you can read by clicking HERE, Max Hess in the lab of Lukas Pelkmans (https://pelkmanslab.org) did beautiful multiplexed embryo imaging to look for factors that might explain the onset of zygotic transcription.

In another one, accessible HERE, Kin Ki Jim in the lab of Jan-Willem Veening here at UNIL (https://veeninglab.comdid a genome-wide CRISPR interference screen (CRISPRi-Seq) in zebrafish to systematically map pneumococcal fitness determinants during meningitis.

Check them out and spread the love for zebrafish :)
